Breastfeeding Clinic

Providing individualized, OHIP-Covered Support

Smiling Baby

Breastfeeding is natural, but not always easy! Whether your goal is to breastfeed, offer breast milk or any other combination, our Lactation Consultant will work with you to help manage any challenges, empowering you to reach your infant feeding goals.

Our goal is to help you reach yours, so you can enjoy this special time with your baby.

Early intervention is key; even if you feel things are going well, a reassurance visit can help confirm you and your baby are on the right track & may prevent possible challenges from occurring. Remember – this is your baby’s first time breastfeeding and you are learning together!

We also offer prenatal counselling to help you and your baby get off to the best possible start.

Common challenges we can help with include but are not limited to:

  • Low milk supply

  • Painful or damaged nipples

  • Difficulty with latch/positioning

  • Engorgement

  • Blocked milk ducts or mastitis

  • Slow weight gain/failure to thrive

  • NICU discharge/prematurity

  • Tongue tie

  • Multiples

  • Pump sizing/challenges

  • Yeast/thrush
